We focus our septic work in Tennessee, where we are most familiar with local requirements and conditions.
KNP Land Management installs residential septic systems for properties in Tennessee. If you are building a home or adding a structure in a rural or suburban area that does not connect to municipal sewer, a properly designed and installed septic system is required. We handle the installation work from excavation through system placement, working to make sure everything is done correctly and meets the requirements for your location.
A septic system that is installed incorrectly or placed improperly can fail — and septic failure is not a minor inconvenience. It can create significant health hazards, damage your property, and result in costly repairs or complete system replacement. Getting it right the first time protects your home, your property, and your investment.
We take septic installation seriously and do not cut corners on the work. Every installation is done with the understanding that it needs to function reliably for many years.
We offer free estimates on every job. There is no pressure and no guesswork — just an honest look at what your project requires and what it will take to get it done.

In Georgia, there is a statewide burn ban that runs from approximately May through October. During this period, cleared debris must be hauled away rather than burned on site, which affects the overall cost of a clearing job. Outside of that window — particularly from October onward — we can burn debris on site, which significantly reduces clearing costs for larger properties. If you have flexibility on timing, this is worth considering when planning a clearing project.
Septic system installation is needed when you are building on a property that does not have access to public sewer — which is the case for many rural and semi-rural properties in Southern Tennessee and the communities north of Chattanooga. If your new home site requires a septic system, or if you are replacing a failed system, KNP Land Management can handle the installation.
Septic system installation is typically part of a full site development project. It often happens alongside site preparation, excavation and grading, and water line installation. If you are also clearing land for a new build, land clearing and driveway installation may be part of the same project. We can coordinate these together.

If you are not sure whether we cover your area, just call or text. We are happy to let you know what we can do for you.
Our septic installation work is currently focused on Tennessee. Georgia has different regulatory requirements, and at this time we concentrate this particular service in Tennessee where we are most familiar with the local process.
A typical residential septic installation involves excavating the area for the tank and drain field, placing the tank, installing the distribution system, and backfilling. The exact scope depends on the size of the home and the soil and site conditions.
Most residential septic installations can be completed in one to two days, depending on the complexity of the system and the site conditions. We will give you a more specific timeline after we assess the property.
Yes. Septic systems require permits in Tennessee, and the permitting process involves a site evaluation. We recommend contacting your local county health department early in the planning process. We can help you understand what is needed.
System sizing is based on the number of bedrooms in the home and the results of a soil evaluation (often called a perc test). Your county health department or a licensed septic evaluator can help determine the correct size for your specific property.
